Theory to Practice
I have come to enjoy a few teaching ideologies that have been proven to positively impact the student in a visual arts course. It is my goal to implement these ideologies into a student driven program encouraging creativity and individuality. The purpose of this art program is to address and answer a handful of essential questions and learning goals regarding advanced student learning. How can we maximize student engagement and retention? How can we make student learning the most beneficial and appeal to each student's unique or preferred processing methods? How can we encourage students to be independent and take initiative regarding self-expression and learning? And lastly, how can we encourage students to think deeper and create more thought provoking, developed art?
